Michael Guard (Co-Founder & CEO) and Dylan Marriner (Co-Founder & CTO) first joined forces when they landed on the same tee-ball team as kids.
Most recently, Michael (CEO) was Director of Product over Flexport’s $276M ecommerce fulfillment business. Prior to Flexport, Michael was the 9th employee and first product hire at Deliverr, which was an ecommerce fulfillment startup acquired by Shopify for $2.1B in 2022. Michael and his teams built Deliverr's crossdocking program, B2B business, freight business, prep business, non-compliance program, and internal tooling for physical operations.
From 2015-2022, Dylan (CTO) worked on AWS Lambda, which is a serverless compute service that informs Selene’s technical strategy. At Lambda, Dylan rose to principal engineer and helped take the product from closed beta to the foundational AWS offering it is today. Prior to Selene, Dylan was a staff engineer at Stripe where he worked on database systems that handled >$1T in annual payment volume and orchestrated cross-regional failover for disaster recovery.
